    Throwback! Total 90s nostalgia eating at this Fresh Choice in Gilroy - possibly the last surviving one. Totally worth the drive and the cost ($17.99 + tax per adult). Amazed that it was being staffed by just 1-2 employees, but they were so attentive and the food was indeed fresh. Restaurant was generally clean and quiet, with tables cleaned as needed every hour. I think the other reviewers are too harsh. The food is as good as I remember it being at Fresh Choice (the chain, when it existed). I'm not going to nitpick. I'd give them 4.5 stars but rounding up for the nostalgia activated

    I was very sad when the fresh choice restaurants closed in the Sacramento area. Was crushed when sweet tomatoes and soupplantation went under. The salad bar is intact in this location. This place has a Mexican and Gilroy twist. They offer awesome pozole soup options and a white sauce garlic pizza that is amazing. I don't understand the hate from some of the other reviewers.
